Dr. Scott-Adams is a licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years’ experience, trained to provide individual therapy, group therapy, and couples/family therapy. She holds a Masters of Social Work degree from Howard University and PhD in Social Work from the National Catholic School of Social Service at The Catholic University of America.
Dr. Scott-Adams has worked in mental health for most of her career, having led a team of social workers in Prince Georges Hospital Center in the Behavioral Health Services Department for 16 years. She has also worked as a therapist in mental health clinics in Washington, DC, Prince Georges County, Maryland, and Western North Carolina where she worked as a Division Social Work Supervisor at Broughton Hospital. Since 2016, she has worked at the National Catholic School of Social Service at Catholic University, as the Director of Field Education and Professional Development.
Dr. Scott-Adams was born in Washington DC and raised in Prince Georges County, Maryland.
